Flexible Fittings

Flexible Applications need Flexible Fittings

Flexible fittings have numerous advantages when used for the connection of PVC pipes, but they are particularly useful for materials that cannot, or cannot easily, be glued, such as stainless steel, PP, PE, concrete and polyester. Flexible couplings are also suitable for use in pipe connections from metric TO English/US dimensions.

  • Quick connection without gluing
  • Keeps stresses out of pipes/prevents breakage
  • Easy to connect PVC to PE, PP, stainless steel, cast iron, concrete, etc.
  • Simple transition from metric to inches
  • Damps vibrations in pipes
  • No harmful vapours from glue/solvent
  • Can be fitted in frosty conditions
  • Simple to dismantle and reuse
  • Easy emergency repairs to pipes
  • For connections that do not seal perfectly
  • Wide product range
  • Very high quality, made in the US
  • Resistant to UV, root growth, sewer gas, bacteria and various chemicals

Because the couplings are very flexible, they can also be used for pipes that do not match up perfectly. They are also great for systems modifications and for test or temporary set-ups, as the flexible couplings can be fitted and removed quickly without the very labour-intensive and unhealthy gluing of connections.

Flexible couplings can also be used to connect pipes at temperatures below freezing, when gluing is not possible. In the case of burst pipes (e.g. due to frost), it is often possible to quickly make an emergency repair using flexible couplings. In addition to simple fitting, another advantage is that the rubbers damp vibrations (from pumps, for example) thanks to their flexibility. This helps prevent breakage due to stresses in PVC pipes.

Quality

The couplings are of high quality fabrication with robust hose clips and are suitable for repeated use. The couplings are produced in the US and are made of PVC elastomer, which has high tensile and cracking loads and hardly ages at all. The flexible couplings have good resistance to UV, root growth, sewer gas, bacteria and various chemicals. These couplings retain a high level of flexibility even at low temperatures. Thanks to their flexibility, a good seal can be guaranteed even when there is a large difference between the pipe diameter and the diameter of the coupling itself. The couplings are suitable for all low-pressure pipes such as those used for the discharge of sewage, sanitary waste and rainwater.
